1936 Kadette 400 made by IRC. It is physically in good condition for a 1936 antique.

The wood cabinet has some water damage on the top and some veneer delamination with a few small pieces missing, but the case is solid and overall not in bad shape for an old radio. Please not the case is not warped, what you see is barrel distortion from the camera lens because of the close-up shots.

The chassis looks complete and very clean. There is no obvious rust. I have not removed it from the cabinet to check under the chassis but based on the observable portion, I expect the circuitry is in excellent shape.

I do not know if works. However, I would not be surprised if it did. It is in such nice shape that I am tempted try turning it on. However, to avoid any potential damage to capacitors or other components, I have not applied power and do not intend to unless I start on a complete restoration - which I don't have time for right now. It is a battery powered radio requiring 4.5V and 135V.
